Beam number one being lowered onto piers # 5 & # 4....
taken from the S.Side dike east of the bridge.................

pier # 4....
Beam number two being lifted off the truck.........
Beam number two being bolted down.......
Making sure the beam is in the right place......these workers know
what they are doing..........
Notice the long rods (bolts) that hold the beams into place....
The top nut is tightened counterclockwise......
