Jason Hubler, Project Superintendent, Marikina....

This is the new south bikeway ramp under construction.....its up river from the
bridge.....

This is Pier #3.........see the black pads that the beams set on......I wondered
why it takes two men to pick them up....I found out, thanks to Trumbull......
The pads on Pier #3 is 4 3/8" thick.......and 16" by 23"...they have 8 layers
of steel inside (3/8" steel) They are called NEOPRENE BEARING PADS..

Box beams will run from pier #3 to pier #2 and then to pier #1...

Notice the yellow arrows.......these cables run through all of
the diaphrams clear to the other side and then secured with
a crimping tool so they don't slip.....I believe these diaphrams
are called ( intermediate diaphrams )

Friday June 22, 2007......8 A.M.....installing box beams between
piers # 3 & # 2........they will place 8 beams today.

One box beam in place......they will also install the four box
beams between piers #1 & #2.........
