The box beam on Pier #2.....

This guy was parked up on the north bound approach MSE. He could
handle all of the box beams from here.....

Sat. morning June 23, 2007......the concrete beams are complete
from one side of the river to the other......this photo shows the 48/36
prestressed box beams from the MSE wingwall to pier #1 over the
new E.Second Ave.
The first span is 75' over E. Second Ave.....the second span over
the railroad tracks is 76'..

Notice the STEPS on top of the pier....yellow arrows.......
Red arrows....curtain wall .....

This is pier #2 where the box beams meet the large 98 ton beams.

In this photo you can see the diaphrams in place........

See the cables sticking out the side of the concrete beam (arrows)....
They run through the diaphrams (D) clear to the other side where they
are crimped so they don't slip...

This is the transition point where the box beams meet the 98 ton beams.
On Pier # 2..

This is the Norfolk & Southern railroad tracks between Piers # 1 & 2
