WILLIAMSPORT'S MARKET STREET BRIDGE

P 258

Some of these photos may not seem too interesting to some people
but they are all part of the new bridge.....

july3073.jpg

This exit begins at the intersection of E. Southern Ave and Hastings Street.
It allows vehicles to go to E.Second Ave without turning right on E.Southern Ave
and that is a very sharp turn for the 18 wheeler tank trucks that use this
route a lot...

july3076.jpg

We are looking north at the ends of the box beams that are on the
MSE approach ramp on S. Side.

july3077.jpg

We are looking at the end of a box beam.....yellow arrows point to
the loops that they use to hook the crane cable to.....red arrow
shows where they slip the pipe over for the safety cables.....
green arrow.....rebar loops.

july3078.jpg

Yellow and green arrows show the small galvanize pieces that are embedded
in the concrete......long galvanize pieces with small ridges on bolt to these
pieces.........the gravel bites into the ridges and holds the MSE together....

july3079.jpg

This is the new E. Second Ave as it curves under the bridge between
the MSE and Pier #1........

july30710.jpg

These are rebars for the balance blocks that they pour that holds
up the pre cast concrete blocks used for the sidewalls....yellow
arrows show the ..(DOWELL BASKETS)

july30711.jpg

Rebars at the bottom of the pre-cast wall pieces....

july30713.jpg

Deckpans on ramp "C".....the red marks show the path the vehicles
will take to go to Market Square...

july30712.jpg
