Good view of the diaphrams between the 98 ton beams....
This is the new E.Second Ave running under the bridge.....the sidewalk
goes to the Job Johny
Hawbaker machine spreading black top on E. Second Ave.......see the
concrete building in the background ? well I took a picture of that building
in 1949......two large conduits run under the tracks and the dike.....they
carry Hagerman's Run to the river....they can be seen on Pages 1 to 7...
Taken with the blimp camera....
Hawbaker put on the 2 1/2" binder coat this morning to the Market Square ramp.
Next will come the 1 1/2" wearing coat and then it will be finished. The bridge
job is looking good.
South bound lanes to the left and north bound lanes to the right. They
still have the finish coat of black top to put on....
This is the machine that spreads the hot mix....
This machine takes the hot mix from the trucks and dumps it into
the hopper in the machine in the above picture.....
