WILLIAMSPORT'S MARKET STREET BRIDGE

P 298

This page has photos taken Nov 9,  2007 at the south bikeway ramp
between the railroad and the dike in S. Williamsport....nothing important,
just random shots....

bnov10073.jpg

The man from Marikina atop pier #1.....he also placed the 98 ton
beams on the bridge.....

vnov10074.jpg

A big boy from Allisons arrives on the scene....

snov10075.jpg

This guy will handle the west end of the box beams....

nov21071.jpg

The tractor driver can steer the back end assembly from the cab....the
driver in the car tells him which way.....Backing north towards the dike
on Old Market Street....

knov10077.jpg

The large concrete beams are made by Schuylkill Products Inc. of
Cressona, Pa....They were the first ones (Joe Nagle) to sponsor my
web site.....

rnov10076.jpg

All the tractor driver has to do is back the truck up.....theres a man
behind this assembly with a cord control that will guide the beam
to the right position....

nov10078.jpg

Looking east at the two Allison cranes and beam # 1 already in position.

These workers knew what they were doing and never once did they
tell me their title or how important they were....

This person is in charge of signals for Norfolk & Southern.  He also was
checking things out in the steel building in the background. A very nice guy
to talk to.
