This is the walkway on the old bridge......I believe this is an expansion
joint because the bridge expands and contracts........
A lot of people will not be interested in the photos on this page....
They are photos from down under.......this is what is holding up
the old bridge....this will be history in summer 2006..
This is down under the old bridge (Wmsport end)........it shows wire mesh
that is holding up the MSE (wall) that is all gravel......when the other (north)
bridge is built......the two will merge at this point. Some green steel beams
are overhead....
Down under the north bound lanes....(A) is the abutment closest to Market
Square.....(B) is the second pier from the Square.......(C) is the third....
Notice the condition of the concrete.....
Now we are looking south......(D) is the fourth pier.....(E) is the fifth...
