Feb. 28th, 2006 ...........
They had a crew working on the MSE (W) today.....
Looking south on the bridge.....not a creature was stirring......not even a
mouse....
This photo shows two PVC pipes sticking out of the concrete wall next
to the "UP" ramp on the city side.........I believe they are for the bridge
light
wires........
This concrete hole is located on the west side of the DOWN ramp
on S. Side......the wires from the power pole will come in through
the four taped tubes and go left to the new bridge lights and the
wires to the right will go to the lights north etc......
I believe this is pier 10 (will check on this ) it shows where the steel
meets the concrete......plastic is covering up freshly poured concrete
so it don't freeze......they also use a Ground Heater inside the plastic....

This photo shows the new beams across the Basin Street overpass
that will hold a new traffic lane........March 1, 2006
These beams will hold another east bound lane over Basin Street..
Looking south on the old bridge March 6, 2006......notice how rusty
the right hand lane is after being blocked off for months.....
This photo shows you where the east bound merging lane will
be to get onto I-180 east from the bridge......
